ARCHITECTS • LFA DIGITAL 2020
Founded in 2018, Black Females in Architecture (BFA) was established by Alisha Morenike Fisher, Akua Danso, Neba Sere and Selasi Setufe in order to increase the visibility of black and black mixed heritage women within the architecture and built environment fields. In so doing, BFA actively addresses issues of inequality and advocates for diversity and equity within the industry.
With almost 300 members worldwide BFA is a membership network that provides creative opportunities for Black women to support them during their studies and career development within the built environment professions.
As well as curating exclusive social events, campaigns and job or projects opportunities for BFA members, we also hold inclusive talks, workshops and social events for the industry and non BFA Members.
We ensure more Black women are made visible through our outreaches and thus challenge the lack of representation and access within mainstream media.
